High precision display model (lighting version) production case of vertical energy storage cabinet
The aim of this project is to create a 1:4 scale vertical energy storage cabinet display model for customers. The core goal is to perfectly reproduce the industrial beauty and technological sense of real products through exquisite craftsmanship, realistic material performance, and dynamic lighting effects after removing technical parameters, with an overall restoration degree of over 90%. It will be used for enterprise exhibition halls and exhibition promotion.
1、 Material selection and structural design
The structural stability and detail authenticity of the model begin with the precise selection of materials.
Main frame: The main structure of the cabinet is constructed with high-strength aluminum alloy profiles to build the internal skeleton, ensuring absolute stability in the vertical model's tall form and preventing shaking. The shell is made of multi-layer acrylic board and ABS engineering plastic board composite. Acrylic is used to create smooth and flat exterior facades and high transparency observation windows; ABS board is easy to process various complex installation slots and ventilation grille details due to its excellent toughness.
Internal module: The core components such as the battery pack and control unit are designed with modularity. Each module uses ABS boards of different thicknesses, which are stacked and bonded in layers after laser cutting to create a realistic three-dimensional structure and detailed heat dissipation fins, perfectly simulating the internal layout of real equipment.
Details: Small components such as door handles, hinges, interface panels, etc., made of brass and stainless steel materials through CNC precision machining, and later treated with electroplating or spraying, have a texture and durability far exceeding plastic parts. The ventilation grille is made of metal etched sheets, with clear and uniform mesh holes and excellent texture.
2、 Integration of production process and lighting system
The lighting effect is the key to giving vitality to the model, and its integration needs to balance aesthetics and concealment.
Precision machining and assembly: All panels are completed by high-precision laser cutting machines, ensuring that the assembly gap is less than 0.2mm and tightly fitted. The assembly process uses professional model glue combined with micro screws for double fixation, and L-shaped metal reinforcement ribs are installed inside key load-bearing parts to ensure the overall strength of the model and withstand repeated handling and display.
Lighting system implementation:
Selection and layout: All light sources use ultra miniature SMD LEDs, which are small in size, have low heat generation, and pure light color. According to the different simulation functions, different colors are selected: blue represents normal system operation, green represents sufficient battery, and red represents warning or fault.
Concealed wiring: All lines are pre designed in the card slots and inner wall wiring channels of structural components, using extremely fine enameled wires or ribbon cables, so that no traces of wires can be seen from the outside, keeping the internal visual cleanliness.
Effect implementation:
Status indicator light: After drilling holes in the panel indicator area, fiber optic light guiding technology is used to accurately guide the rear LED light source to the micro hole with an aperture of less than 1mm, forming a clear and bright point light source. It can be programmed to achieve various dynamic effects such as constant light, slow flash, and flash.
Internal ambient lighting: Hidden LED soft light strips are embedded on both sides of the top of the cabinet, and the light is diffused through the milky white acrylic board to provide uniform and soft lighting for the entire internal space, clearly showing the complex "battery module" and "wiring harness" structure inside, with a strong sense of technology.
Control and power supply: Built in a miniature control board, controlled by concealed toggle switches. Multiple lighting scene modes can be preset. The external adopts a universal 5V DC power interface, which is safe and easy to operate.
3、 Surface coloring and treatment in the later stage
Surface treatment is the final and most important step in achieving high reduction degree.
Spray coating process: All components of the model are finely polished and coated with high adhesion primer to fill small scratches. The main color paint adopts advanced automotive metallic paint, which achieves zero color difference by comparing professional color matching with actual machine colors. Finally, a high gloss polyurethane protective varnish is sprayed as a whole, which not only brings a highly textured surface gloss, but also forms a strong protective film that is wear-resistant and scratch resistant.
